Ryogoku Kokugikan, Sumo Hall

Ry??goku Kokugikan (筝≦?遵?醇??蕕?), also known as Sumo Hall, is an indoor sporting arena located in Ryogoku, Tokyo, next to the Edo Tokyo Museum. Ryogoku Kokugikan was built in 1909, led by the growing popularity of Sumo during the Meiji period.? It is the third building built in Tokyo associated with the name Kokugikan. The current building was opened in 1985 and has a capacity of 13,000 people. It is mainly used for?Sumo restling tournaments (????贋??) and hosts the?new year tournament (?????贋??)?in January, the summer tournament (紊???贋??)?in May, and the?autumn tournament (腱???贋??) in September. The venue is also used for other indoor events, such as boxing, pro wrestling, and music concerts. It also houses a museum.??There are exhibitions about past and present Sumo wrestlers. Haneda Airport

It was mainly used for domestic flights and short-distant international flights, but from this autumn, flights to Asia, the US, and Europe will dramatically increase.? Tsukiji Honganji Temple

If you visit Tsukiji, you will see many tourists. More than half of them came for Tsukiji Fish Market, and the others came to visit?Tsukiji Honganji Temple (膀???井????絲?). Tsukiji Honganji Temple is a temple of Jodo-shinshu (羌???????絎?, Shin Buddhism).? It is a branch of Nishi Honganji (茱炊????絲?) in Kyoto. Tsukiji Honganji Temple was first built near Asakusa in 1617.? After it was burnt down in 1657, it was moved to Tsukiji in 1679.? The word Tsukiji literally means “built-up land”, pointing to the fact that this district was obviously reclaimed land.? When the Hondo (?????, Main Worhip Hall)?was built on this land, the temple came to be called Tsukiji Gobo (膀???医勝???). The present architecture of the temple was completed in 1934.? As with most other buildings in Tokyo, the previous grand wooden temple building was lost in the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake. This deck can be used for parties, too! If you aren’t satisfied with the real sky, there is a planetarium.? There are shows about nature, asterism, etc. There are more places to enjoy and gain knowledge: an aquarium,? and museum of ancient orient. Theater, restaurants, shopping centers…there are so many! And the most entertaining must be Namco Nanja Town. Tour of National Diet Building in Tokyo

Parliamentary regimes and parliament buildings vary from country to country, and the difference is quite interesting. If you are interested in the Japanese National Diet, there are tours in the building. Tours in the House of Councilors are on every weekday, with few exceptions, such as the day of the open ceremony of the Diet.? Reservation is required for groups of 10 people or more. Visits?to the House of Representitives?are restricted, and only those who were introduced by?a Member of the House can enter. The tour to the House of Councilors starts at the lobby, where there are exhibisions of the history and functions of the House.? The guide will take you to the court gallery, room of the Imperial family, central hall, garden, etc.? Approximate time required is 60 minutes. Special Dining at Roppongi

If you are tired of ordinary dining, this might be the restaurant for you 🙂 The name is ‘Roppongi Horror Dining Trick or Treat’.? As it is shown in the name, you will be in a nightmare at this restaurant! At the entrance, a gravestone will welcome you. In the dark light of the restaurant, horror movies are on air, and numerous dolls are displayed. The master, in a frightening costume, will take you to your seat… The menu is pretty normal (at least most of them are), bu they are served on wierd, freaky dishes. This restauraut must be great for halloween parties, but it is open all year, so come over anytime you like!
