Our Recommendation for Rental Properties

The following are some properties that we have shortlisted, which, in our view suit the needs of foreign residents in each particular budget segment. In each category we have focused on the value of the property based on its in-house offerings, location and rental price.

Luxury Grade

Luxury grade properties are classified as rental properties that have a high proportion of large-sized units (over 200 sq. meters) within the building, or cost over JPY7,000 per sq. meter in rent per month. We have honed in on the areas that are popular among foreign residents. This list contain properties that we think are the best choice given: 1. the design and layout of the apartments that we think would best suit the lifestyle and needs of foreign expats, 2. the location, 3. the convenience for working professionals to get around and the access to international services, and 4. the in-house amenities on offer. These properties are in our view what we think would provide a high quality of life for foreign residents during their stay in Tokyo.

Going Vintage

Branded residences as well as newly-built apartments tend to run over JPY10,000 per square meter in rent, particularly in sought-after and upscale neighborhoods. One option that is worth considering is looking for vintage-grade residences that would offer the convenience and luxury of residing in a popular location. Vintage-grade apartments tend to offer spacious layouts for the given rent, and are likely to be renovated inside to provide a comfortable lifestyle. Because of the location, the building, while on the older side, are also well-maintained and kept tidy to fit in with the surroundings.
